How to Download Videos from Twitter / X
Twitter (now X) doesn't offer a built-in download button for videos. With omnifetch.co, you can save any public tweet video as an MP4 file for free. This works for video tweets, GIF tweets, and embedded video clips.
Step 1: Copy the Tweet URL
On the Twitter/X app: Find the tweet with the video. Tap the share icon, then select Copy link. The URL looks like https://x.com/username/status/1234567890 or https://twitter.com/username/status/1234567890.
On desktop: Click the tweet to open it, then copy the URL from your browser's address bar. Both x.com and twitter.com URLs work.
Step 2: Paste and Download
Go to omnifetch.co, paste the tweet URL into the input field, and click Download MP4. The video is extracted and processed automatically.
Step 3: Save the Video File
Your browser downloads the MP4 file automatically when processing is complete. Find it in your Downloads folder.
What Twitter/X Content Can You Download?
- Video tweets - Any tweet that contains a natively uploaded video.
- GIF tweets - Twitter GIFs are actually short videos and can be saved as MP4.
- Quote tweets with video - If the quoted tweet has a video, you can download it.
- Twitter Spaces clips - Some recorded Spaces may be downloadable.
